Starscreen and crusher take hooklift and caterpillar on board
Backers Maschinenbau GmbH, situated in Twist in Lower Saxony, has been offering its own 2-fraction starscreens and mobile hooklift version since the year 2006. This 2-ha starscreen is especially used for narrow building sites with changing conditions. The mobile hooklift starscreen can also be equipped with a caterpillar and is then available as a 2-hta starscreen.
The mobility from Backers offers even more advantages. After all, the machine driver is often not on-site upon delivery or collection and cannot give the unloading truck driver instructions where the machine should be placed. The machine driver can drive the machine with the caterpillar to the required place of use once the truck driver has unloaded the 2-hta starscreen at the site. After inserting the screen, it can even be moved to a parking area or to the next job. Mobility due to the caterpillar offers even more benefits: the starscreen can be used on other material to be screened and earn additional rental if required.
Backers now also offers a crusher with the mobility of a 2-hta starscreen. The crusher breaks with a high proportion of cubic particles. Crushers suffer increased wear and tear if a large amount of soil is collected with the stones to be crushed. This is especially the case if the proportion of soil is cohesive. The new crusher therefore does without its own (usually very short) screen, because a particular example of use is crushing stones. In order to break down soil with a proportion of stones, a starscreen is placed upstream because the starscreen promises a very good cleaning effect: even with cohesive soils. Thanks to the starscreen insert, the proportion of stones is excellently cleaned with a continually high rate. The cleaned oversized particles from the starscreen can then be directly added to the crusher and broken. In the crusher, the breaking effect increases significantly when it can work without dirt particles and cohesive soil. The wear resistance and output rate are also increased by advance cleaning of the stones. In order to be able to use the crusher for recycling work, it has been provided with a vibrating chute beneath the rotor. With a rotor width of 1m, the compact crusher can break relatively large stones. The crusher has dimensions of 2.55m x 2.70m x 6.75m (w x h x l) and a weight of 13t in the transport position.
